'Horizontal' 'WISKAWAY'® 6000H Visitor Wallbed and 6000R Radiator Wallbed
A compact, wall-fixed, sideways-folding wall bed designed to be used in Hospitals and Hospices, where ceiling height, or room layout prevents the use of ‘Vertical’ wall beds. Engineered for daily heavy-duty use with smooth counterbalanced operation, automatic leg action and a lift-up top for added comfort. The 6000H can be pivoted away in seconds, complete with all the bedding. See last image for 6000R Radiator Wallbed option. Wide choice of housing finishes – (matching furniture also available).

10 Year Bedframe Guarantee
Unlike any of its’ competitors, ‘WISKAWAY’® Visitor Wallbeds have been specifically engineered to withstand long term, heavy-
duty, nightly use in busy Hospitals and Hospices. The bed frames are guaranteed for a full 10 years, but will last much longer.
Our ‘WISKAWAY’® Visitor Wallbeds are designed for a 25 year-plus service life, subject to periodic maintenance.
High Load Capacity
Virtually indestructible, hand welded, all-steel bed frames enable the ‘WISKAWAY’® to easily cope with loads of up to 200kg (singles) and 400kg (doubles) and sleep even overweight users, for extended periods, in total safety and comfort and at a convenient (45cm) sleeping height.
Wipe-clean/Waterproof Mattress
‘WISKAWAY’® Visitor Wallbeds come with a wipe-clean/waterproof mattress (usually blue but colour can vary), flame retardant to Ignition Source 5** with a zip-on/zip-off replaceable cover and can be cleaned as you would a normal Hospital bed and mattress, using the same (your usual) cleaning agents. (**Ignition Source 7 also available). The bedding retaining straps supplied with our wall beds can also be wiped clean.
Easy to Handle and Use
‘WISKAWAY’® Visitor Wallbeds are designed to be easy and intuitive to handle and use. The front legs and Backrest* open out and retract automatically, as the bed is deployed/pivoted away. Because the mattress does not need to fold, the bed can be pivoted away fully made up (in literally seconds in an emergency) and can also be made up freshly between visitors, then folded away ready for the next visitor.

Multiple Safety Features
‘WISKAWAY’® Visitor Wallbed safety features include pneumatic counterbalancing, automatic leg action, no sharp edges, double side flaps hold the bed safely closed when folded up and clear wipe-clean, laminated, safety/operating instructions, permanently fixed to and prominently displayed on every bed.
Full Spares and After-sales Service
‘WISKAWAY’® Visitor Wallbeds are supported by a full spares and after-sales service. This includes optional periodic servicing – (we recommend a full service just once every 5 years). We are also able to arrange for the installation and/or relocation of our wall beds.

Because ‘WISKAWAY’ Visitor Wallbeds don’t fold, but pivot away flat, they can be used with a proper mattress and pivoted away, complete with all the bedding, including the pillows, ready to use again in seconds – a huge bonus for visitors and also for staff, who don’t have to trundle makeshift beds backwards and forwards and make them up and unmake them again each evening/morning. The beds can be freshly made up, in advance, between visitors and stowed away ready for the next visitor. This significantly reduces staff workload and operating costs. Ward laundry bills are also reduced, as the bedding stays on the bed and off the floor.

Our Unique, Flexible, Wipe Clean Bedding Retaining Straps Allow Our 'WISKAWAY'® Visitor Wallbeds To Be Folded Away Complete With All The Bedding, Ready For Immediate Reuse
‘WISKAWAY’® Visitor Wallbeds come complete with wipe clean, flexible bedding retaining strap(s). These are permanently attached to the head end (on ‘Vertical’ beds) or to the far side (on ‘Horizontal’ beds) and are simply stretched across, when the bed has been made in the morning and hooked on to the opposite end/side, to hold the mattress and all the bedding securely in place when the bed is pivoted away. Just 1 central strap is needed to hold everything in place on single ‘Vertical’ wall beds and 2 straps on doubles. ‘Horizontal’ wall beds come with 3 straps – see pictures. When the bed is in use, the straps can be stored safely out of the way behind the head end of ‘Vertical’ beds and the far side of ‘Horizontal’ beds.
