The Extra High XH ‘GLIDEAWAY’® Visitor Guestbed, originally developed for Marie Curie Hospices, to accommodate patients’ partners, family members, friends, or carers overnight, enables patients and visitors to sleep in close proximity and at the same height (67.5cm). This model also incorporates a handy steel Bedding Tray.

Unlike any of its’ competitors, the ‘GLIDEAWAY’® Visitor Guestbed has been specifically engineered to withstand long term, heavy-
duty, nightly use in busy Hospitals and Hospices. The bed frames are guaranteed for a full 10 years, but will last much longer.
Our ‘GLIDEAWAY’® Visitor Guestbeds are designed for a 20 year-plus service life, subject to periodic maintenance.
High Load Capacity
Virtually indestructible, hand welded, all-steel bed frames enable the ‘GLIDEAWAY’® to easily cope with loads of up to 200kg (singles) and 400kg (doubles) and sleep even overweight users, for extended periods, in total safety and comfort and at a convenient (47cm) sleeping height.
Wipe-clean/Waterproof Mattress
‘GLIDEAWAY’® Visitor Guestbeds come with a wipe-clean/waterproof mattress (now blue), flame retardant to Ignition Source 5** with a zip-on/zip-off replaceable cover and can be cleaned as you would a normal Hospital bed and mattress, using the same (your usual) cleaning agents. (**Ignition Source 7 also available).
Easy to Handle and Use
The ‘GLIDEAWAY’® Visitor Guestbed is designed to be easy and intuitive to handle and use. The front and back legs open out/retract automatically, as the bed is deployed/folded up. Proper Hospital wheels (2 with brakes) make these beds really easy to move around and position. Make them up and use them wherever and whenever required.
Multiple Safety Features
‘GLIDEAWAY’® Visitor Guestbed safety features include automatic leg action, brakes on two wheels, no sharp edges, rubber corner protectors, double steel safety hooks to hold the beds safely closed when folded up and wipe-clean, laminated, safety/operating instructions, permanently fixed to both sides of every bed.

‘GLIDEAWAYS’® are supported by a full spares and after-sales service. This includes optional periodic servicing – (we recommend a full service just once every 5 years).
